Experienced public sector senior executive Nicolle Kelly has been appointed Acting Queensland Small Business Commissioner while a recruitment process is undertaken to find the next Commissioner.

The Queensland Small Business Commissioner leads advocacy, mediation, and engagement across Queensland’s small business community.

Nicolle is a public sector executive who is highly credentialled in the areas of customer service and small and family businesses, particularly within start-ups in the technology sector. Her background in strategy, governance and engagement will ensure effective leadership through this transition period.

Her professional networks across government and industry see her well placed to support Queensland’s more than 495,000 small businesses.

With current Commissioner Dominique Lamb finishing on 3 October the search for the next Commissioner is already underway.
