Gambling Harm Awareness Week
Gambling Harm Awareness Week (GHAW) is an annual initiative to increase awareness of gambling harm, safer gambling practices and the help available to people negatively affected by gambling.
GHAW 2025 will run in Queensland from 21 July to 27 July. This year’s theme is ‘Protecting young people from gambling harm – it starts with you’ which encourages those who have young people in their lives to start a conversation with them about the potential harms associated with gambling.
You can participate in GHAW by using these resources including social media tiles, LCD screens, A4 posters and an email signature to promote safer gambling practices and to start a conversation with a young person to support healthy attitudes towards gambling.
If you are concerned about a young person’s gambling there is free information and support available through Gambling Help Queensland.
