Grants are available to upgrade buildings, facilities, and equipment; restore or create memorials, avenues of honour, memorial gardens; and to deliver projects, activities, and commemorative events. Local councils are welcome to apply for funding in the community grants program.

Three grant funding streams are available:

  • Minor capital works grants program – Funding up to $50,000 (excluding GST) per grant, to deliver minor capital works projects such as repairing or maintaining buildings or facilities, or for the purchase of equipment.
  • Community grants program – Funding up to $50,000 (excluding GST) per grant, to assist communities to deliver commemorative activities and events, or to create or refurbish war memorials, avenues of honour and memorial gardens.

The Queensland Government honours the service and sacrifice of our veterans, past and present.

Ex-service organisations and other not-for-profit organisations that provide support and services for Queensland veterans and their families are encouraged to apply for funding under the grant programs. Local councils are welcome to apply for funding in the community grants program.
