Australian War Widows Queensland (AWWQ) has 27 Sub-Branches throughout Queensland. These groups are always happy to welcome new members and meet monthly.ÿ AWWQ provide welfare support, advice and help with referrals. AWWQ provides friendship and understanding with other War Widows. Various social functions are held such as day bus trips and are an excellent way to meet new friends.ÿ A member's bulletin is distributed quarterly.ÿ AWWQ has 2 unit complexes available for rent to eligible War Widows - based in New Farm and Redcliffe. Holiday accommodation is also available at Centrepoint Caloundra at special War Widow rates.
