Services
A peak rural lobby and social group for women across Queensland. Rural crisis fund, student bursaries, crisis disaster emergency help, special interest groups (public speaking, cooking etc.), student accommodation. This association is a not for profit association that helps women, children and families. The service has aged care facilities. There are 320 branches and 11 younger sets. Some of the activities our members participate in are: - cookery - dressmaking - handcraft - knitting and crochet - music and drama - floral art - quilting - photography - public speaking Competitions are held in all these activities. Each year a different international country is studied. The QCWA is a non-party political and non-sectarian. New members are welcome and may contact the state office on 07 3026 1219.
