The Remote Family Care Service is the only service of its kind in Queensland. It provides short-term, early learning programs for children aged up to 5 years who - due to where they live - cannot access mainstream early childcare services. You may be entitled to government assistance to access this service. The aim of the program is to provide outback children with an opportunity to engage in an early learning program for up to 3 weeks, delivered in the nurturing environment of their own home. As long as at least one of your children is under the age of 5, they can provide a qualified, early childhood educator to come to you. The service is available across regional, rural and remote Queensland.
