Through the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, VPG partners with local organisations to deliver accredited training, job readiness support, and work experience. Our programs focus on practical skills and career development, ensuring young people are equipped to make informed choices and secure meaningful employment.

VPG Every Family is a free service supporting parents and carers of children aged 0-12 across Mareeba, Tablelands, and the Cassowary Coast. The program helps families strengthen parenting skills, deepen their understanding of childhood wellbeing and development, and access valuable resources and support. Through parenting workshops, support and coaching, Every Family empowers caregivers to create positive environments where children can thrive. Programs may include PPP Positive Parenting, Circles of Security, Bringing up Great Kids.

The Tablelands Youth Support (TYS) initiative by VPG helps young people aged 8-21 across the Tablelands achieve their goals and connect with support in their community. TYS provides guidance to help young people feel supported, engage in education or employment, find stable housing, and make positive life changes. The program offers information, advice, and referrals to relevant services, relationship support to strengthen community connections, assistance with education, training, and employment, and help securing safe and stable living arrangements. TYS is here to empower young people and connect them with the support they need to thrive.
