Environmental impact statement (EIS)
The terms of reference for the Walton Coal Project was finalised on the 10 May 2018. Walton Coal Pty Ltd had until 9 May 2022 to prepare the EIS and submit it to the department for assessment. However, on 3 May 2022 the proponent formally withdrew its application to voluntarily prepare an EIS for the Walton coal project.
