Round 5—Litter and Marine Debris Clean up and Prevention

Successful applicants under Round 5—Litter and Marine Debris Clean Up and Prevention have been announced.

A total of 28 projects have been successful in applying for more than $1.1 million in grant funding for projects which seek to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill and/or litter and marine debris in our environment. See details of the successful projects.

In 2021-2022, an additional $1.6 million was made available to 17 community groups under this category to assist with the clean-up of debris and litter in flood-affected communities between the Gold Coast and Wide Bay.

Round 4—Threatened Species Recovery and Resilience

A total of 19 projects have been successful in applying for more than $1.3 million in grant funding for projects that will directly benefit threatened flora and fauna species negatively impacted by bushfire and drought (in 2019–2020) and projects to build threatened species resilience to climate change.
