Selling or renting your accessible property
There is growing demand for accommodation that is easy to enter, move around and live in.
If you have an accessible property to sell or rent, talk to your real estate agent about the best way to promote the accessible features of your property.
Livable Housing Australia's nationally-endorsed Livable Housing Design Guidelines describe the features that help make a home more livable.
Your real estate agent will be able to help you to promote the features of your accessible property.
Ask for key words like 'accessible', 'adaptable' and 'modified' to be used in any advertising so that your property is easily found by potential buyers or renters looking for housing with accessible design features.
Take photos that show how easy it is to access your property, where the car park is located, and any accessible features in your bathrooms, kitchen and other rooms, and add these to your listing.
Search for real estate agents registered with the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ).
