Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Services (QIFVLS)

Queensland Indigenous Family Violence Legal Services help Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples with family violence and sexual assault matters.

They can help you with:

• family law
• child protection
• victims compensation
• witness assistance law.

Aboriginal Family Legal Service Southern Queensland

The Aboriginal Family Legal Service Southern Queensland (AFLSSQ) provides free legal advice, assistance and representation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families across Southern Queensland. They can help if you:

• are experiencing domestic and family violence
• have a child protection matter
• are or might be separating (parenting arrangements, child support, separation or divorce)
• have been charged with an offence
• are a victim of assault or other act of violence
• are a witness to an offence.

Discrimination

Discrimination is when you think you are treated unfairly in your work, education, housing; when receiving goods and services or in another area of your public life because of your race, age, gender, political or religious belief (or activity), or some other aspect of your private life.
