Adoption Services in the Department of Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services is responsible for administering adoption legislation and providing services in Queensland to:
- parent/s considering adoption for their children
- children requiring adoptive placements
- people seeking to adopt children
- people seeking information about past adoptions
- people seeking to lodge a contact statement about a past adoption.

Provides individual, family or group counselling and support to people affected by adoption and offers:
- telephone counselling and support
- face-to-face counselling
- support and information during the search process, including finding records
- mediation and assistance for people wishing to make contact with relatives.

Provides services to people affected by forced adoption, including information, referrals, emotional support, assistance with searching and contacting relatives.

Link-Up (Qld) Aboriginal Corporation
Provides services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are over the age of 18 and wish to reunite with family from whom they have been separated or removed.

Intercountry Adoptee and Family Support Service (ICAFSS)
Provides support to intercountry adoptees and their families, including young adoptees, adult adoptees and adoptive parents. Relationships Australia, South Australia delivers this free service nationwide.
ICAFSS provides information, counselling and support to help manage the complexities and unique challenges that intercountry adoption may bring during a lifetime.

- Intercountry adoptees: children, young people and adults
- Adoptive parents of children adopted from overseas or expatriate adoptions
- Family members of intercountry adoptees
- Anyone who is going through the intercountry adoption process.
