Help is available if you are – or someone you know is – experiencing gambling problems.

Gambling Helpline

If you are concerned about your gambling (or someone else’s) phone the Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858 for free and confidential counselling and crisis support (24 hours, 7 days). They also offer referrals to the closest Gambling Help service for face-to-face counselling.

Gambling Help Queensland

Gambling Help Queensland provides information to help you understand gambling, get support or help someone. They offer free and confidential counselling through a network of government-funded community organisations across Queensland. Gambling Help service locations may offer face-to-face, video-chat and other remote counselling services. Operating during business hours, they offer a range of service to gamblers and their families and friends, including:

  • counselling
  • support groups
  • information and referral to a range of other support services, if required
  • assistance with banning yourself from gambling venues.

Lifeline

Lifeline provides short-term support for people who are feeling overwhelmed or having difficulty coping or staying safe. They provide confidential one-on-one support with a trained telephone crisis supporter. Phone Lifeline on 13 11 14 (24 hours, 7 days).
