New training is available to help you find out more about the easy things you can do to communicate more accessibly.

You can complete the Queensland Government’s 50-minute disability inclusion course My role: Disability inclusion champion, which covers:

  • experiences of disability
  • barriers to inclusion
  • examples of inclusion in action
  • what you can do to remove barriers and champion inclusion.

Three Inclusive language and communication toolkit: microlearning modules are also available:

  • Microlearning module 1: Inclusive language
  • Microlearning module 2: Accessible and inclusive communication
  • Microlearning module 3: Creating accessible documents.

Find out more

  • TAFE Queensland has a free course for small business owners wanting to find out more about different ways of communicating with employees and customers with diverse communication abilities.
  • Disability Awareness offers a free course for people that want to learn more about disability inclusion including employers, teachers, support workers and people with disability who want to understand more about their rights.
