Buses
Accessible buses
Translink services throughout Queensland
Most buses on the Translink network have low floors or ramp systems. Stations along busways—roads dedicated to buses—have lifts, ramps and pathways. Tactile paving for people with vision impairment and hearing augmentation for people with hearing impairment are also in place in busway stations.
Assistance dogs
Your certified assistance dog is welcome to travel with you on public buses. Your animal must wear its 'certified assistance dog' badge on its coat or harness, and you should travel with your assistance dog handler card.
I'm unable to touch on or touch off with the go card—what can I do?
Translink offers an access pass to passengers who can travel independently but cannot physically swipe their go card.
Subsidies, concessions and passes
A range of subsidies, concessions and passes are available for use throughout Queensland.
There will be no change to concessions on public transport for people with disability when the National Disability Insurance Scheme is introduced in Queensland. Translink will continue to ensure concessions are provided for people with disability travelling on public transport in Queensland.
