Rebuilding advice from the Queensland Building and Construction Commission

If you’re building or renovating after a natural disaster, the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) can help you.

The QBCC is the State’s building and construction industry regulator and offers a range of services, including:

  • a licensed contractor search to find local qualified tradespeople
  • free contract templates to conveniently document your building project
  • a dispute resolution service if a building issue arises during construction
  • insurance under the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme
  • guides and factsheets on building and renovating topics to help you become fully informed.

The QBCC has nine customer service centres across Queensland and you can contact the QBCC on 139 333.
