Volunteering with SES
The State Emergency Service (SES) is a volunteer-based organisation empowering people to help themselves and others in times of emergency and disaster.
In Queensland, SES responds at local and State levels in disasters and emergencies, providing support for non-life-threatening emergency situations during floods, storms or other similar events.
SES volunteers are 'ordinary people doing extraordinary things'. Volunteering with the SES is a challenging and rewarding way to give back to your community.
Volunteer roles
Roles in the SES vary from responding to emergencies to teaching the community how to be prepared for disasters. If you want to help, we'll find a way to use your talents and expertise.
Training
All SES volunteers receive comprehensive training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge they need to do their work safely and effectively.
