Project summary

The South Burnett Koala Land Restoration Carbon Project is a $2.608 million, 15-year partnership between the Queensland Government and CO2 Australia Limited. The project will involve the planting and establishment of koala habitat and enrichment planting of around 18 hectares of existing habitat, along with weed, fire and pest animal management. Environmental planting in the project area will reduce dissolved inorganic nitrogen and fine sediment loads entering the Barambah Creek, a tributary draining into the Great Barrier Reef.
