Search clearing code notifications

Landholders notify us before undertaking clearing activities under accepted development clearing codes. We then enter these notifications into a public register, which is updated regularly (generally monthly).

We are required to provide this public register under section 19R of the Vegetation Management Act 1999.

You can search the register of notifications using:

  • lot/plan (you can enter lot number or lot and plan number together, e.g. 16/JD678912)
  • local government area (LGA)
  • purpose
  • tenure
  • reference ID or number.

You can also view a complete list of these notifications in csv format on the open data portal.

Under all current codes (except the 'Managing a native forest practice' code), notifications expire 2 years after the notification date.

Note: prior to 20 July 2016 notifications were made under an old system that captured notification information in a different format.
