The main aim of this collaborative pilot project is to plan for the long-term protection and management of a unique natural and cultural landscape in traditional Jirrbal country.
Jirrbal field officers will work alongside a team of professionals to collect baseline data on flora, fauna and cultural heritage. Jirrbal field officers will be trained in data management and mapping portal use and work towards developing a management plan that sets out the long-term protection of natural and cultural resources recorded at Urumbal Pocket and the surrounding area.
