Other resources and services can include:

- internet, WiFi and computer access
- book clubs
- newspapers or magazines
- room hire.
Join a library
Joining your local public library is generally free. To join, you may need to show proof of your current address and some ID. You will need a declaration from a parent or guardian if you are under 18.
Contact your local council for more information.
State Library of Queensland
All Queensland residents can join the State Library of Queensland (located in Brisbane) and get free access to its resources including books, newspapers, videos and computers.
Indigenous Knowledge Centres
Indigenous Knowledge Centres (in remote Queensland communities) provide the same services as libraries and try to capture and preserve local history and traditions. They generally operate in partnership with your local council.
Free internet and computer courses
Free computer and internet training courses are available for all Brisbane City Council library members.
If you are outside the Brisbane area, contact your local library to find out if courses are available.
