Why join the clean energy workforce
We've set targets for 70% renewable energy by 2032 and 80% by 2035. This will create all sorts of jobs and exciting opportunities to make a real difference.
Queensland's electricity network is changing as we move toward clean energy.
We’ll need more skilled people working to install more solar panels and more wind turbines, build pumped hydro facilities, and upgrade the transmission and distribution networks. To achieve this, we will need workers in areas of electrical trades, engineering, construction and science to name a few.
Queensland’s regions will be at the forefront of opportunities from the creation of the state’s SuperGrid, with 95% of infrastructure investment and 70% of employment projected to be in regional areas
