Funeral assistance

When you can't afford a funeral for a friend or relative who passed away in Queensland and their assets will not cover their funeral costs, you may be able to get funeral assistance.

To apply for funeral assistance, contact your nearest magistrates court or find out more from the Coroners Court of Queensland.

If your loved one died from an act of violence, you may be eligible for assistance for funeral costs from Victim Assist Queensland.
