Give notice of your intention to hold a public assembly
You must download and fill in a registration form if you are planning a public protest, rally or assembly.
Take your completed form to either your nearest:
You must do this at least 5 days before the event.
You must contact the officer in charge of the police station nearest the event if a road has to be closed.
Details on the form
The registration form will ask for details of the assembly or rally including:
- whether you plan to carry placards or banners
- if any vehicles will take part
- if you will use marshals
- who will be in charge on the day. Find out what is required under the Peaceful Assembly Act 1992.
