Industry support package
The Queensland Government is committed to supporting businesses that have been negatively impacted by the drop in tourism due to travel restrictions implemented as a result of COVID-19.
The government has identified that ITOs may benefit from renewal application fees being waived (or where paid, refunded) to mitigate the impact this may have on their business.
To support this, we are waiving the registration fee for a 12-month period for ITO renewal applications lodged before 30 June 2022.
For more information, please email industry.licensing@justice.qld.gov.au.
Renewing
You must renew your registration before it expires.
We will send you a renewal notice 1 month before the expiry date. If your registration is expiring and you haven’t received the renewal form, please contact us and ask for a new one.
You must lodge your renewal before your registration expires. Fees apply.
You may only submit your form:
- in person
- by mail.
The normal processing time is 4–6 weeks. If we refuse your renewal application and you disagree with our decision, you have 28 days to appeal.
Continuing to work
You need to make sure that we receive your renewal form before your registration expires. If you do, you can keep working while we process your renewal.
During this time, you must be able to produce:
- your expired certificate
- a receipt from us for your renewal fee (please contact us to ask for one).
Restoring
You cannot restore your registration after it has expired. You will need to re-register.
