Disclosure statement
By law, you must give a client a copy of the pre-contractual disclosure statement before they sign a contract.
This disclosure statement describes the introduction services you will provide under the contract.
The statement must:
- include your name
- note the type and levels of service you will provide
- show the price of each level of service and the method of payment
- list the criteria you use for introductions
- describe how you introduce clients
- note your refund policy, including when you will give a refund
- detail your complaint procedure
- show how much the client must pay to end the contract early
- note anything else the client must do.
You face penalties if you break the law.
