Continuing professional development sessions
From 6 June 2025, you must complete 2 approved continuing professional development (CPD) sessions each year to keep your property industry licence or registration. Some exemptions apply.
The date you must complete your CPD sessions is based on your licence or registration date. Find out your CPD year.
Only the approved CPD sessions on this page will count towards your 2 mandatory CPD sessions. You can choose to complete:
- a Type 1 session and a Type 2 session
- or
- 2 of the Type 1 sessions.
The CPD sessions on this page are updated as new sessions become available.
Type 1 CPD sessions
Type 1 sessions are designed to promote and improve core skills. They come from the national property training package units of competency—you may have completed these as part of the licensing or registration process.

Proof of completion
CPD providers must give you proof of completion, such as a certificate or statement of attainment.
You must keep the proof-of-completion document for 5 years and produce it to Office of Fair Trading (OFT) inspectors on request.
