Industry guide
A new Australian industry guide was launched in June 2022 to reduce the risk of death and life-threatening injuries in infants. The guide was developed by leading medical and injury prevention experts, industry and regulators, and:
- provides industry with information on what makes a sleeping environment unsafe for infants
- highlights essential considerations for designing, marketing and supplying safe infant sleep products
- includes a checklist that can be used as a guide to identify product use and hazards.
