How to customise standard number plates

To customise your standard number plate you will need to bring the following items to a transport and motoring customer service centre. If you live in a rural area, contact a QGAP office, Magistrates Court or local police station that provides vehicle registration services—please call to confirm before visiting:

• a completed customised number plate/s application (F3536)
• evidence of identity—if vehicle is registered in 2 names both registered operators (plate owners) must sign the application, and both provide identification.
• a fee—to customise or customise and replace

You will need to surrender the old number plates once you receive the new plates if you customised and replaced the plates—you must attach number plates within 1 day of receiving them.
