Vehicle types that must be registered
All motor vehicles driven on Queensland roads must be registered. Examples include:
- cars, utes, or motorcycles
- caravans or light trailers
- heavy vehicles—vehicles with weight over 4.5t gross vehicle mass
- special interest vehicles—such as vintage cars and hot rods
- motorised mobility devices (motorised wheelchair/mobility scooter).
