Vehicles and devices you cannot use on the road
The following non-compliant vehicles and devices are considered unsafe for road use. They cannot be registered or used on a road or road-related area, such as a path, under any circumstances.

![]() | Fat tyre moped These devices are designed purely for on road use, generally have a maximum speed of 32–35km/h, and a more like a motorbike than a scooter. Some are even capable of doing 95km/h. |
