Events
Many events were held across the state for Queensland Youth Week (QYW) in 2025.
During the week (6–12 April), over 80 community events were organised and registered on our events calendar, including music, art, festivals, sports competitions, forums, workshops, and more.
These activities encouraged young people to explore their interests, develop their talents, and connect with their communities in meaningful ways.
Stay tuned for updates for QYW 2026 and get ready to join the celebrations and discover exciting events in your area.
If you’re a local council or organisation, our events calendar will open for registrations prior to QYW 2026. Check back here in early 2026 to add your event so we can share it with young Queenslanders on your behalf.
Here is a recap of some of the great events held in 2025.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dancers preparing for a workshop at the North Coast Aboriginal Centre for Community Health (NCACCH) Youth Day 2025. The event included live music, cultural workshops, games, prizes, and more; encouraging young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders to celebrate who they are and make some deadly memories.
Aspiring entrepreneurs and leaders at the Passion Pathways to Authentic Leadership workshop, run by The Australian School of Entrepreneurship (ASE). Participants learned practical tools and strategies to build confidence, enhance public speaking skills, develop leadership qualities, and set actionable goals to work towards the next step in their journey.
Young event goers enjoying music at Northey Street City Farm’s Youth Fest. The event featured young local bands and collaborative art projects to build a strong community of young people who want to fill the world with colour and life.
