Police-Citizens Youth Clubs Queensland
Police-Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) Queensland is a leading provider of youth and community programs, services and facilities. While focusing on young people's personal and leadership development, PCYC Queensland offers activities and programs for all ages and all levels. including gymnastics, boxing, dance, martial arts, 24/7 gym and fitness centres and so much more.

Visible Ink
Visible Ink is open for young people aged 12 to 25 to access their Zine Library, Multi Media Studio, Arts Hub and Maker Space. They also have a rehearsal space, meeting room and multi-use space available for bookings. Visible Ink is located on the corner of Constance Street and Green Square Close in Fortitude Valley.
Open Doors Youth Service
Open Doors Youth Service provides support services to young people with diverse gender identities, sexes and sexual orientations aged 12 to 24 and are based in Fortitude Valley. If you live outside of South East Queensland, they will still try to provide you with support to link you with safe and inclusive services in your area.
Open Doors Youth Service is also an LGBTQIA+ youth homelessness service, working with young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.
Safe public places
- Your local council may list safe public places near you where you can hang out.
- Libraries offer a safe environment with free access to books, magazines, movies and the internet.
- The Edge is the State Library space for creativity, ideas and experimentation. They have regular programs, events, workshops, facilitated meetups and community lab times in the space. Explore their range of free facilities, hardware, software and equipment available to help you create.
Emergency housing
- Emergency housing is available for you to sleep, eat and shower.
- Salvation Army drop-in centres also offer a safe and supportive place for at-risk young people.
