Supporting year 12 Graduates for a safe and enjoyable Schoolies Week
Each year, thousands of year 12 graduates across Australia mark the end of their schooling journey with Schoolies Week celebrations. The Gold Coast, remains one of the most popular destinations, with many school leavers also choosing other holiday spots across the country and overseas. These celebrations often feature organised events, music festivals, and social gatherings.
Safer Schoolies is a Queensland Government initiative committed to ensuring school leavers can celebrate responsibly while staying safe. We focus on creating a secure environment that encourages young people to make positive choices and look out for one another by reinforcing the message “Be Safe and Watch your Mates” during this milestone event.
Our program works closely with multiple Queensland Government agencies, the City of Gold Coast, various community groups, local businesses, and volunteers to provide essential safety services.
Additionally, we offer educational programs both in schools and online, equipping Year 12 students with valuable information on making safe and informed decisions before, during, and after Schoolies Week .
