The initiative aims to understand how different communities interact with policing services, focusing on those facing challenges like isolation or distance. The trial will provide valuable insights to improve services for similar communities.
Communities participating in the trial can expect to see more opportunities to connect with police through community engagement and proactive high-visibility policing.
Currently underway in Beachmere, the trial will extend to Lamb Island and Mapoon, with a thorough evaluation conducted after 12 months.
