Relationships Australia Queensland provides face-to-face support, counselling, information, referrals and telephone support for people engaging with the National Redress Scheme.
Locations serviced: Logan, Spring Hill, Maroochydore, Gympie, Maryborough, Gladstone and Townsville. Telephone support is available in other areas of Queensland.
Opening hours: 8am to 8pm (local time) Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm Saturday.
Bravehearts offers free and confidential support to individuals and affected family members engaging the National Redress Scheme through face-to-face supports, telephone supports and online supports through our e-health service. Bravehearts can provide information about the National Redress Scheme, assist with completing the Scheme’s application and provide support throughout the process.
Locations serviced: Arundel, Springwood, Spring Hill and Strathpine, with outreach services available to other areas of Queensland.
Opening hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm (Brisbane time) Monday to Friday.
Lotus Support Services can assist people to apply for National Redress Scheme and provides face-to-face support, counselling, information, referrals, outreach services and telephone support. Lotus Support Services also support redress recipients to access the Queensland Counselling and Psychological Care (CPC) Scheme.
Locations serviced: Brisbane, Rockhampton and Townsville, with outreach provided to other areas of Queensland.
Opening hours: 9am to 5pm (local time) Monday to Friday.
The Centre Against Sexual Violence (CASV) provides face to face counselling, information, advocacy and support to women engaging with the National Redress Scheme. They also provide referrals to services for men.
Locations serviced: Logan, Beenleigh and Beaudesert.
Opening hours: 9am to 5pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 1:30pm to 5pm Tuesday (local time).
Link-Up Queensland provides free support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples engaging with the National Redress Scheme. Link-Up Queensland’s services include counselling, face-to-face support, healing and culturally appropriate support for Indigenous Australians.
Locations serviced: Offices in Brisbane and Cairns, with outreach services across Queensland.
Cape York/Gulf Remote Area Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Care (RAATSICC) Advisory Association provides free, culturally safe and informed support and assistance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people considering engaging in the National Redress Scheme. They provide face-to-face support, counselling, information and referrals.
Locations serviced: Based in Cairns with outreach support throughout Far North Queensland (Cape York communities).
Opening hours: 9am to 5pm (Brisbane time), Monday to Friday.
The knowmore legal service is for anyone who is considering applying for redress under the Scheme. It is free, confidential and independent. knowmore can assist you:
with information on other options available to you, including access to compensation through other schemes or common law rights and claims
prior to the application, to ensure you understand the access requirements and the application process
after you receive an offer of redress and you elect to seek an internal review of the decision
with advice on the effect of accepting an offer and what this means for future claims.
