Overseas opportunities for teachers

Queensland school leaders and teachers have the opportunity to work offshore in global engagement programs that are managed by the Global Projects team within the Department of Education International (DEi).

These programs are designed to increase global competence, language skills, personal and professional development and provide exposure to other schooling systems.

In addition, the Global Opportunities team offers schools, teachers and educational leaders global immersion experiences through professional development programs or as a chaperone of students.

These opportunities enable teachers and educational leaders to enhance their intercultural awareness, language proficiency and knowledge of Australian and world history, to make a positive difference to the quality of learning and teaching in Queensland schools.
