Support for continuing students of previously funded programs

Funded training providers—known as Skills Assure Suppliers in Queensland—are required to meet certain standards, including adequate support for students to learn and complete their course.

If we make changes to a funded training program while you're completing your course, we'll ensure arrangements are in place, so your funded training place remains secure, and you can continue to complete your course without disadvantage.

If you need support, speak to your training provider to see what options are available to you.

Changes to our funded training programs

From 1 July 2025, the following funded training programs have been discontinued for new students:

  • Certificate 3 Guarantee
  • Higher Level Skills
  • User Choice (for apprentices and trainees).

If you started your training course under one of these programs, we have you covered. These discontinued programs will be phased out gradually, allowing you to complete your qualification or skill set without disadvantage.
