How flood warnings work in a catchment
Understanding how Queensland’s river catchments work is an important part of being a Queenslander. Flooding can happen anywhere. If you live at the top of a catchment you are more likely to experience flooding with less warning time than those living in the middle and lower parts of the catchment. Flood warnings are really important because they help keep our Queensland communities safe.
