Part A – Contact and land details

This Part A contact and land details application is required when submitting a Part B* state land PDF form. You do not need to complete a Part A application if you use the online Part B application which can be found on the State land application finder.

* The Part B forms allow you to apply for a change to the current use or undertake a new use of state land and can be found on the State land application finder.

The applicant must comply with all requirements within the Part B application before submitting  a Part A application.

This Part A – Contact and land details application is required when the applicant is wanting to submit using the PDF Part B form (application specific form). You do not need to complete a Part A application if you use the online Part B application which can be found on the State land application finder.

To apply you will need to complete the Part B application (application specific form) either online or via PDF forms which may required Part C and Part D forms also to be completed. You can find Part B, C and D PDF forms using the state land application forms and fees page.

You can complete Part A and apply:

  • online
  • by emailing or posting the completed printable PDF forms.

Online applications

  • Select the green "Apply online now" button in the Next step section and complete the application.
  • Upload and submit your Part B PDF form using the online Part A application and the form will be submitted through this online process.

Note - by selecting the online Part B application you do not need to complete a Part A application as it includes land and contact details sections and the application is submitted through the online process. Use the state land application finder to find an online form.

PDF forms

To apply using the PDF forms, you'll need to download Part A - contact and land details (PDF) form using the link provided in the Next step section.  You will also need to complete a contact and land details (online or PDF) application.

Application fees apply to certain Part B applications. Application fees are non-refundable.

You can pay your Part B application fee:

  • online (only available on some online Part B forms)
  • via credit card over the phone. Departmental officer will contact you to organise the payment
  • via cheque by post. Cheques should be made out to the 'Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing and Regional and Rural Development' and marked 'not negotiable'.

We'll send you a receipt once we've established that your application meets all requirements.

All applications will be processed having regard to the requirements of the Land Act 1994 and related legislation, approved policies and procedures and the requirements of all other agencies with an interest in the land.

Information on this form, and any attachments, is being collected to process and assess your application under the Land Act 1994. The consideration of your application may involve consultation, and if so details of your application may be disclosed to third parties. They will not be otherwise disclosed outside the department unless required or authorised by law.

We may wish to contact you to seek your views on our service, to advise you of any legislative changes that might affect you, or to seek your participation in surveys or programs relevant to your application type. Any participation will be voluntary, and you may email stateland@resources.qld.gov.au if you do not wish for the department to contact you.

We may also compile or analyse statistics and conduct research. Any publication of findings will not involve the publication of identifying personal information.

In terms of the Right to Information Act 2009 interested parties may seek access to the department’s records and view relevant documents.
