One of the greatest obstacles to tenants moving into the private housing market is not having a reference from previous landlords or agents.

Often, even when a reference is provided, it lacks vital information, which means private landlords, real estate agents and housing organisations have to ask for more details.

To help tenants, private landlords, agents and housing providers, we’ve developed reference templates that can be used to provide references when tenants are leaving their properties and need help finding housing elsewhere.
