The Tenant Assist Qld app has been designed to make it easier for public housing tenants to access a range of services online.
You can:
- check the balance of your rent or maintenance
- get the payment barcode to make rent and maintenance payments at any Australia Post outlet
- Access online services to tell us if people have moved in or out of your home, tell us if you’re going away and update your contact details
- You can access emergency contacts such as DVConnect or housing help after a disaster
- You can also access information about your tenancy and information about requesting maintenance to your home.
Some of the new and improved features on this app for public housing tenants include:
- Check my balance
- Save for later option
- Get payment barcode
When you check your balance, the balance is now part of your Home screen.
The balance can remain on the Home screen and be refreshed by selecting the ‘Refresh’ button.
You don’t need to re-enter the information, if you don’t press the ‘Close’ button.
You can still use the app and access other services while the balance screen is open.
The Save for later option, lets you to save a ‘partial form’ or a ‘completed form’ so you can finish the form at a later time.
The Get payment barcode provides a payment barcode so you can make rent or maintenance payments at any Australia Post outlet.
Requesting maintenance to your home online.
The app will also link you to the MyHousing portal, so you can create a MyHousing account to submit your maintenance request online.
To create a MyHousing account, you will need to be a current legal tenant, you will need to supply your rental agreement number and an email address to complete your registration.
