Cancel or suspend a licence
We can suspend or cancel your licence if you:
- obtained it using false or misleading information
- or another person associated with the licence did not comply with a condition on the licence
- or another person associated with the licence was convicted of an offence against the Second-hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act 2003
- or another person associated with the licence is no longer a suitable person to hold a licence.
You and your associates must not have been convicted in the past 5 years of:
- a second-hand dealing or pawnbroking offence
- any disqualifying offence (such as theft or fraud offences).
Surrender a licence
If you no longer require a licence, you can choose to surrender it. You can do this by:
- writing to us
and - returning your licence to us within 14 days.
The surrender takes effect on the day we receive the written notice.
