Certificate of training—mediation
New accreditation standards released
The Australian mediator and dispute resolution accreditation standards (AMDRAS) have replaced the National mediator accreditation system. We (Dispute Resolution Branch) are an approved recognised training provider under AMDRAS and have revised our courses to reflect the new standards and requirements.
This is an interactive 6-day hybrid in-person and online course. It will give you the knowledge and skills to develop as a mediator and provide useful conflict resolution skills for other situations.
You are suitable for this course if you:
- have a general interest in conflict resolution
- wish to take the first step in gaining national accreditation as a mediator.
After completing the course, you will:
- be awarded a Certificate of training , which is nationally recognised under the Australian mediator and dispute resolution accreditation standards (AMDRAS)
- learn about next steps, if you wish to become an accredited mediator.
This course is a prerequisite to the Certificate of assessment—mediation course, which is the second step to becoming nationally accredited. You must enrol in the Certificate of assessment—mediation course within 12 months of completing this course.
