Mediation mentoring sessions
New accreditation standards released
The Australian mediator and dispute resolution accreditation standards (AMDRAS) will soon replace the National mediator accreditation system. We will transition to AMDRAS between 1 July 2024 and 1 July 2025. During the transition, we will update this page to reflect the new standards.
In the mentoring program, an experienced mediator and trainer will work with you—either on your own or in a small group of 3 or 4—to develop your mediation skills in line with your goals.
Your mentor can help you
- develop your mediation skills
- build on your knowledge of conflict resolution
- further explore the philosophy of facilitative mediation
- prepare for the National Mediation Accreditation assessment
- advance your mediation skills
- provide confidential professional debriefing.
Mentors are chosen from our panel of experienced mediators and trainers.
Your participation in the mentoring program can be recognised as professional development hours under the National Mediator Accreditation Standards.
Structure
Your learning plan will be developed with your mentor and will be tailored toward achieving your goals.
Mentoring is structured into 1 or more 2-hour sessions. You can attend as many or as few as you choose.
Your mentor may also give you work to do in your own time.
Cost
