A Games for all of Queensland
Since being awarded the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, there has been considerable foundational work behind the scenes to ensure the Games are set for success. Plans are now underway to ensure the event is a Games for all Queenslanders.
About the Games
Queensland will host the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games over four weeks (29 days) with the Olympic Games hosted from 23 July to 8 August 2032 and the Paralympic Games to be hosted from 24 August to 5 September 2032.
The ‘Green and Gold Runway’ into 2032 and the decade after will provide extraordinary opportunities for communities across Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and Oceania. It is a chance to showcase our unique landscapes, celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures as the oldest continuing living cultures in the world, display our creativity and share our way of life with the world.
Hosting the Games represents a significant investment in our future, and its legacy can create economic, societal and environmental changes that will make our diverse region even more inclusive, sustainable, connected, liveable and prosperous.
