Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority

The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) is responsible for:

  • investigating and planning for potential venues and villages, and related infrastructure, for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, including, for example—
  • conducting investigations of sites and existing or proposed facilities; and
  • preparing project validation reports for the sites and facilities; and
  • delivering venues in time for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games and within budget allocations, including managing effects on users of venues during their development
  • monitoring and ensuring the delivery of villages in time for the Games
  • coordinating and integrating the planning and delivery of State, Commonwealth and Local Government obligations under, or related to, the Olympic Host Contract.

The Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority is conducting the 100-Day Review of Games infrastructure and planning in line with the Terms of Reference. Individuals and organisations were invited to provide submissions from 10 December 2024 to 10 January 2025.
