Responsibilities of SRTOs
Prepare for training
Prepare your apprentice or trainee and their employer for training with a training plan, training record and workplace assessment, learning and disability support. You should also discuss prior learning and training costs.
Deliver and monitor training
As the SRTO you must deliver and assess training, and monitor the progress of the apprentice or trainee, dealing with training delays immediately.
Manage training contracts
Understand the processes and your responsibilities when changes are made to the apprenticeship or traineeship training contract.
Manage the completion process
How to complete the training contract when your apprentice or trainee has successfully achieved all competencies, and what to do if one party won't sign the completion agreement.
Change training organisations
If you replace another SRTO, or are a replacement SRTO, read what's requried of you, including updating training plans and records, workplace assessments and issuing statements of attainment.
Close your business
If you stop operating as a registered training organisation, or close your business, you have responsibilities relating to notification, assisting students and issuing qualifications.
