Working in state schools—information for contractors
Contractors must report to the school's administration building when they arrive, sign in and collect official visitor identification.
Identification must be worn at all times—anyone found on school grounds without visitor identification will be referred to the school's administration office.
Contractors must be in receipt of a Work Area Access Permit (WAAP) before any maintenance, installation, refurbishment, asbestos containing materials removal and construction related works are undertaken in Department of Education facilities.
