Year of the Dog

Dog is the symbol of loyalty and sense of justice.

In this painting you can see the little puppy is really happy and then is like half sitting and on the floor. And I pair the dog with the plant banksia, which is a beautiful, beautiful Queensland plants. And the banksia and the dogs they have a beautiful harmonious colour together it's more like a warm tone yellow colour.

And a little bit detail of this painting is I put a double happiness necklace on this dog. So, in China when a baby was born the parents or the baby's family will always hand make a double happiness knot and give to the baby as the best wishes to the baby. And I hope this is also something that I can give to the parents who have their baby born in the Year of the Dog.

I chose Labrador as the breed of this design because when I think of dog Labrador is always the dog that first come to my mind. It is a dog that everyone absolutely loves it. It has the cutest face and also the most beautiful smile, and I love different type of dogs. I feel like these dogs you can always find in the family in Australia and also in China, so I think it's really good example for this painting.
